You can book and pay for a chauffeur journey for a family member, colleague or visiting guest. Tell UMC who is arranging the journey and who will be travelling.

Our team has handled journeys where one family member booked and paid while other family members travelled. We contacted the passengers using the supplied details and followed the booker's directions. The same arrangement works when you are organising a car for a colleague or guest.

Who receives the booking confirmation?

The person making and paying for the booking receives the confirmation. UMC contacts the passenger using the details you supply and following your directions as the booker.

Give us the passenger's details separately from your own. If several people are travelling together, identify the person you would like us to contact. Check the journey details against the traveller's plans before the pickup.

Does the passenger see the price?

The booking price is confidential to you as the booker. We do not show it to the passenger unless you ask us to share it. You can arrange the journey as a gift or host a guest without making them part of the payment conversation.

For current vehicle rates, see our chauffeur prices page.

Both people receive the chauffeur's name and number

Before pickup, UMC sends the chauffeur's name and phone number to both the booker and the passenger. The traveller has the contact needed for the journey. You have the same details even when you are elsewhere.

Supply a passenger phone number with its country code and check that it will be usable during the trip. Tell us about any contact instructions that matter for the person travelling.

How does the passenger find the chauffeur at the airport?

At Dubai International Terminals 1 and 2, the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board just past the baggage hall. At Terminal 3, the meeting is board-free. UMC sends the exact meeting point to the passenger on WhatsApp before they land.

What happens if the passenger asks for something extra?

If the passenger requests a chargeable extra during the journey, the chauffeur accommodates the request and reports it to the desk. The desk confirms the additional charge with you as the booker.

A short stop is usually possible. Any chargeable addition follows that same process between the chauffeur, the desk and the booker. If you already know the passenger needs another stop, include it in the original journey request. For at-disposal bookings, stops within the booked block are included. Extra hours or a leg outside the emirate are agreed with the desk before they are added.

Can I pay from abroad?

Yes. UMC provides a secure payment link so you can pay from abroad for someone else's journey.

Details to prepare before booking

Send the team:

  • Your name and contact details as the person booking and paying.
  • The passenger's name and the contact details you have permission to share.
  • Your instructions about whom UMC should contact for the pickup.
  • The journey date, pickup location and destination.
  • The number of passengers and the luggage they will bring.
  • Any child-seat request or other requirement you need the team to confirm.

For an airport transfer, include the flight number and arrival date. Check the airport and add the terminal if known. UMC live-tracks the arriving flight and coordinates the chauffeur's arrival accordingly.

For a hotel or office pickup, give the full address and the correct entrance. Ask the traveller about their luggage before choosing a vehicle from the UMC fleet.

If your company regularly arranges journeys for several people, our guide to corporate chauffeur accounts covers the wider arrangement. For an individual journey, start with a booking enquiry and make clear who is booking and who is travelling.
