From Dubai International you can reach a hotel by private car four ways: the taxi rank, a ride-hailing app, the hotel’s own limousine desk, or a chauffeur booked before you land. With a pre-booked chauffeur the price is fixed and written down before you fly, the chauffeur meets you in the arrivals hall, and the car waits up to 60 minutes from landing at no charge. Downtown or DIFC is about 15 minutes away outside peak; the Marina, Palm Jumeirah and JBR are closer to 30 to 35.

The four ways in, compared honestly
The taxi rank
Dubai Taxi runs a rank outside every arrivals hall. It is metered, needs no booking, and the queue moves quickly except when several long-haul flights land together. You take the car that comes, and the airport pick-up carries a higher starting fare than a street hail; the RTA publishes the current tariff at rta.ae.
A ride-hailing app
Careem and Uber collect from designated pick-up zones rather than the kerb outside arrivals, so there is a walk with the luggage and a wait for the car to reach you. You can choose a tier, including premium ones, and the fare is set when you request it and moves with demand at that moment. What you cannot choose is the specific car or who drives it: the job goes to whichever driver accepts, and that is the real difference from a chauffeur, not the class of vehicle.
The hotel limousine desk
Most five-star hotels will send a car if you ask the concierge before you fly, and the greeter is usually inside the hall. The desk sets its own price, generally at the top of the market, and mostly collects payment up front when you book. The fleet is whatever the hotel contracts, so the class you get is the class they run, with little room to specify.
A chauffeur booked before you land
You choose the exact car and it is the car that turns up, driven by a professional chauffeur employed by the company rather than a driver who accepted a job. The price is fixed and agreed before you fly, with no surge and no meter. Your flight is tracked from departure so the pick-up follows the aircraft, the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with your name, and the meeting point is confirmed on WhatsApp before you land. This is the option the rest of this guide describes, because it is the one we operate.
Where the chauffeur meets you
Dubai has two airports and three terminals at the main one, and the meeting point differs at each.
- DXB Terminal 3 serves Emirates and some flydubai codeshares. The greeting here is board-free: we confirm the exact meeting point with you on WhatsApp before you land, so you are not searching for signage after a long flight. If you prefer Dubai Airports’ own Greet & Go reception, we arrange it on request.
- DXB Terminal 1 handles most other international airlines. Your chauffeur waits with a name board just past the baggage hall.
- DXB Terminal 2 takes most flydubai and regional carriers. Same protocol as Terminal 1: name board, just past baggage.
- DWC, Al Maktoum International in Dubai South has a single arrivals hall, which keeps the meet simple. From here the Marina and the Palm are nearer than the Downtown core.

How long the drive takes
Outside the morning and evening peaks, these are the runs from DXB that come up most often.

How the price is set
A pre-booked transfer is priced by car class, not by the meter, so the figure is known before you fly and does not change with traffic, the hour or demand. The rate covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, Salik and parking, bottled water and chargers, and 60 minutes of waiting at the airport from the moment you land. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before the pick-up. Waiting beyond the first hour is charged at the car’s hourly rate, agreed when you book. What moves the price is the class you choose and the distance: a business sedan sits at the entry of the range, the flagship sedans and the large SUVs at the top, and a transfer that continues to another emirate is quoted as its own journey.
Choosing the car for an arrival
Luggage decides more than status does. Two people with two cases sit comfortably in the Lexus ES or the E-Class. A family with a pushchair and the holiday cases needs the V-Class or the Yukon XL, both with seven seats and room for five cases. Four adults with four cases is Escalade territory. Booking it
Send the flight number, the terminal, the hotel and the number of guests and cases, and you receive a written confirmation with the car, the chauffeur’s details and the all-inclusive figure. For Terminal 3 the meeting point follows on WhatsApp before you land. You can reserve an airport transfer online, or message the concierge desk. Onward journeys to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah are arranged the same way as inter-emirate transfers, with the quote agreed before departure. Frequently asked questions
Is a pre-booked chauffeur cheaper than a taxi from Dubai Airport?
For a short hop into Deira or Garhoud, a metered taxi will usually cost less. The fixed rate buys the car you chose, a chauffeur in the hall with your name, an hour of waiting, and a figure that does not move in traffic. The further the hotel, the narrower the gap, and on the Marina and Palm runs it is often small.
Where do I find my chauffeur at Terminal 3?
At the meeting point we confirm with you on WhatsApp before you land. Terminal 3 greetings are board-free, and Dubai Airports’ Greet & Go reception can be added on request.
Do you cover DWC, Al Maktoum International?
Yes, at any hour. DWC has one arrivals hall, and your chauffeur waits there with a name board.
What happens if my flight is delayed or lands early?
We track the flight from departure, so the pick-up moves with the actual landing time at no charge for the change. The 60 minutes of complimentary waiting start when you land, not when you were due.
Is the price different at night?
No. The rate is the same for a 3 a.m. arrival as for midday: no meter, no surge, no night supplement.
Can I go straight from the airport to Abu Dhabi or another emirate?
Yes. Dubai Airport to Abu Dhabi is about 140 km and 90 minutes; Sharjah is about 30 minutes; Ras Al Khaimah around 75 minutes. These run as fixed inter-emirate transfers, quoted and confirmed before you travel.
